Birthday Card For My Mom

Hello Scrappers and Friends! Card making is a lot like scrapbooking minus the pictures. I love personalizing the cards for the person I'm making it for. Today I'm sharing the card I made my wonderful Mother for her birthday.

This was also my first Shaker Card. Pretty simple to make. I used a Martha Stewart punch to do the Happy Birthday design. Then I placed a piece of clear plastic behind that so that the sequins would not fall out. Just use some foam tape to make the depth between the birthday design and the card background to allow the
sequins to move. I placed two Prima flowers on the card using 2 way glue and then taking some distress stickles to create the center of the flower. I took a few extra sequins and placed them on the card as well with the 2 way glue. You can use confetti, little beads or whatever you want for the inside of the shaker card, you don't have to just use sequins.

The background is embossed using an Anna Griffin folder. I then placed a piece of Washi Tape that I had on the bottom of the card to add more color.

Make sure when you place the foam tape on the back that you don't leave space for the sequins to fall out either.

Love the way it turned out! Hope you enjoyed it. Have a splendid crafty time!
