The Joy of Sorting Chipboard.....

Hello Scrapper and Friends! If you all don't know already I LOVE organizing and sorting in my craft room and through out our home.

One thing my mom bought me at a garage sale this last summer was 2 buckets of chipboard! I finally got around this week and decided to sort them into bins so I can see what I have and get to it easily. I used my hardware drawer system that I bought at a garage sale to store all the chipboard pieces and began sorting the several pieces of chipboard. Love how it all turned out! Plus it made more room on my shelves to put more stuff!

The drawers if you missed it are just hardware drawers you get in any hardware department and you can find these at garage sales too. I covered the fronts with zebra duct tape and used my trusty label maker to label what's in the drawers.

Hope you all enjoy organizing as much as I do! Makes it easier to scrapbook. Hope you have a splendid crafty time!

Christmas Present From The Hubby!

Hello Scrappers and Friends! I hope you had a wonderful holiday!! My husband sure does spoil me! He actually listens to me when I talk about my scrapbooking and what I want. I have been trying to make my own mini albums and really wanted a binding system. So he went and bought me this without help! What a keeper! I'm so excited to start playing with it.

I just had to show off what he got me and how amazing he is! Have a splendid crafty time!

New Sticker Storage

Hello Scrappers and Friends! I hope you are having a wonderful time. I am off this week so I've been working in my craft room and organizing as much as I can.

One thing I struggle with is sticker storage. I had all my stickers in these Snap-n-go containers separated by theme but they took up too much space and it was hard to see everything I had so I needed to figure out how to store them to where they would work better for me. One method my Mother in Law sent me a video on was cutting up file folders to adhere your sticker pages to. Then you place them in sleeves in three ringed binders separated by theme. All I need to do now is place dividers in between the themes. So far I think this is going to be the best option for me.

Another option ladies seem to like is using ScrapRacks. I personally do not like the look of them and they seem to take up a lot of room. But if you have the room and money to buy one several ladies have recommended them.

I hope this is helpful to some that have tons of stickers and don't know what to do with them. Have a splendid crafty time!

Baby Shower Invites

Hello Scrappers and Friends! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday! Last weekend I started to work on our baby shower invites. I wanted to make them simple but pretty. One thing I'm going to do is write on them before I emboss them to make it easier.

These are all the supplies I used plus cardstock. Very simple and very easy! I'll be sending these out in February.

Sometimes the simplest things are the best things! Have a Splendid Crafty Time!

Pregnancy Book Updated

Hello Scrappers and Friends! I worked on my Pregnancy book last weekend updating it.

My husband and I decided to throw a Gender Reveal party with some close family members. I made some of the decorations and had people at the party vote which gender they thought the baby was. I also had taken a poll at work and put that on the page as well. So is the baby a boy or girl?

Surprise! It's a GIRL!! I filled the cupcakes with the color of the gender and had the grandparents at the party take bite to find out. I had to tell them before hand to be gentle because I needed a picture of them holding the cupcakes showing the color inside. Can't tell I'm a scrapbooker huh?!

I took some Project Life cards and used the backs for backgrounds. Then used a stamp with Journaling so I could write the response for each sticker.

I also did a page with the ultrasound picture showing the gender. A few other pages I have done have test results and I saved the doctor appointment reminders and pasted them on a page.

We are all so very excited! Hope you all are having a Splendid Crafty Time!

Christmas Cards 2015

Hello Scrappers and Friends! Hope you all are getting ready for the holidays coming up. I have been behind on my Scrapbooking and making my Christmas cards. Last weekend I sat down and finally got most of them done. I decided to do simple this year and not get to crazy since I have tons to do. All I used were stickers, stamps, paper and embossing powders. Some of the backgrounds are from Project Life collections that I have.

Hope these gave you some ideas. Have a Splendid Crafty Time!

Pregnancy Book

Hello Scrappers and Friends! I told you all awhile back that I had an idea with my Smash Books and this was the idea I had in mind. A Pregnancy Smash Book. I am putting pictures, appointment reminders, ultrasounds, test results, thoughts etc into the book. I bought lots of stickers for the book and I even
purchased the "9 Months" cartridge off Cricut. These are a few of the pages I have done and I'll have plenty more to come.

New Craft Room

Hello Scrappers and Friends! I will definitely miss my old room, but giving it up because a baby is on the way will all be worth it!

I used my bookshelves I got from Walmart as the legs for my work table and just put items that I don't use as often on those. My husband also screwed my table top to the book shelves. Eventually I will have my huge Beanie Baby Shelf above my table. Then I just stacked my Recollection cubes. My paper storage is all in one location.

When moving my craft room, my husband wasn't to thrilled about all the holes we would have to patch before painting. We used dry wall anchors so the holes are a lot bigger than just a screw hole. So in my new craft room we just used screws that way the holes are not as big. Hope you all have a Splendid Crafty Time!

Why I've Been Away

Hello Scrappers and Friends! Hope you all are doing great! I haven't been on lately due to not being in my craft room as much. My husband and I have been extremely excited about an upcoming event that we have been wanting for 4 years. In April 2016 Baby Gabbert will be joining the family!! So I will have plenty to scrap about. I have already started my Pregnancy Book and I'll be sharing that soon!

I want to thank everyone that watched my scrapbook room tour and love all the comments! Now that there is a baby on the way I have had to move my craft room into our master bedroom. Surprisingly it all fit!! I'll share with you all the updated room here very soon. Hope you all have a splendid crafty time!

First page of Mini Album!

Hello Scrappers and Friends! I last posted that I was working on a mini album and that I needed to get a score board before going any further. This past week I ordered me a Martha Stewart one off Amazon and got it in the mail yesterday and finished my binding today! I'm running low on Scor Tape otherwise I would have done more.

I have got to say doing the pages are the best part of the whole mini album thus far! I even did a pocket and a flap. Here is what I have done so far, hope you enjoy and I'll hopefully finish it soon and do a video on it. Have a splendid crafty time!

Started My First Mini Album

Hello Scrappers and Friends! I have finally started my first mini album. I have been wanting to do one for quite some time now but just didn't have strong enough adhesive to keep it together. I only got the cover done today and I'll have to get a score board in order to do the binding. I used Angela Venable Art's video on YouTube as a guide. Can't wait to start on the pages! Hope you all have a wonderful week and have a splendid crafty time!

Scrapbooks as Gifts are the Best!

Hello Scrappers and Friends! I have been working on this album for months now
and never thought I would get it done in time for our Christmas in July. It was so much fun and I got everyone together to put a little special something in the back for Grandma and Grandpa to have.

What I had everyone do is write down, in their own handwriting, their favorite memory of grandma and grandpa and I took copies of them and placed them in the album in the back. I put all the originals in a pocket in the back in case they wanted those later on. The reason I took copies were so they wouldn't fade and get ruined. I'm so glad everyone was good about it and did it! Grandma and Grandpa loved it and that's all that counts! Plus they can take this album to Florida when they are down there and show all their friends how awesome their family is!

I also got my other grandma a blanket with a picture of when her and my grandpa first got married and the other picture is from their 50th Anniversary. My grandpa passed away awhile back so this was something special. She loved it too!

I wanted to do something special for both sides of my grandparents and I'm glad I got to do that. They mean the world to me and I love them so much! Hope you all enjoyed this and it gives some of you an idea of what to do for your loved ones. Homemade gifts can be the best gifts!

Some of my relatives I never really see so I got some of the memories today, which was the day of the get together so I had my own little scrapbook station in our car ready for me to finish it up! My zebra rolling tote for my Crops came in handy today!

This is one of the reasons why we take pictures and scrapbook! They make us look back on the good times and smile! This hobby is one of the best things in my life and I love doing it! Thanks for viewing and I hope you all have a splendid crafty time!

Weekend Creations!

Hello Scrappers and Friends! Hope you all are having a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Lots of fireworks going on around us. Today I have been in my craft room trying to get caught up on some old pictures. I have so many that I haven't even printed...I'm so behind!

Here are the new tags I did today. These are so fun and simple to make!

Here are the layouts I did. These are from last years get together. I used Washi Tape all around this page.

I love this background paper! I didn't want to cover it up with pictures but I think it went perfectly!

I used some Project Life cards in this layout. On the bottom left corner for those that don't know what Project Life cards are.

Here are a few more...

Hope you all enjoyed my creations! It was a fun day today in my craft room! Got a lot done. Hope you have a splendid crafty time!

Distress Ink Labels and Blending Tool Storage

Hello Scrappers and Friends! Sorry about all the posts today, trying to catch up on everything that has been going on lately. I've been slacking and busy in my craft room this past week since we are off this week from work.

So I finally downloaded the Tim Holtz distress ink labels and printed them out on my printer. I then cut out the ones I had and sent them through my little sticker maker and placed them on the sides of the inks so I can see which one is which without pulling them all out. Easy to do and its free!

I have been experimenting with my blending tool and I've seen where you should have a pad for each color and not mix. So I had these little plastic containers that I found at a garage sale so that each color will have their own place. Plus my round blending tools fit nicely in the container as well.

I love storage! I have more storage than supplies, no joke! But that's okay because it just means I need to buy more supplies. Hope you have a splendid crafty time!

Clear Stamp Storage

Hello Scrappers and Friends! I always look for new ways to store my supplies. I love clear stamps and I had been using some Stampin' Up DVD cases but those are expensive.

So I heard about these clear sleeves from Avery Elle and just had to purchase some! I ordered 2 sets of 25 sleeves on Amazon and they were only $7 each and free 2 day shipping. Once I got them I cut some card stock to fit in the back and then used some clear sheets to stick the stamps on and walah wonderful storage! I used my label maker to label each one so I could just flip through them and know what each package had. I also got OCD on it and placed them in alphabetical order. I chose the purple because it matches my room and looks pretty.

I went on YouTube and viewed Jennifer McGuire's clear stamp storage and that's where I found these. The card stock inserts I cut to 5 3/8" x 7 1/4" and the purple card stock fit nicely in each pocket!

Hope this helps anyone struggling with storing their clear stamps! I love these pockets and eventually I'll be getting a Fridge Binz to place them in just like Jennifer in the video. Have a splendid crafty time!
